1. Website purpose

The website provides general information about academic editing and publication-support services. Website content is not a promise that a particular journal, editor, reviewer or institution will accept a manuscript.

2. Enquiries and project agreements

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. A project begins only after both parties agree in writing to the scope, price, timeline, deliverables and payment arrangements. Any project-specific quotation or service agreement will take priority over these website terms where the documents differ.

3. No publication guarantee

Editing, formatting, journal selection and submission support can improve clarity and readiness, but editorial decisions remain with journals, publishers and reviewers. Journal Article Expert does not guarantee acceptance, publication, indexing, citation performance, academic grades or any particular decision.

4. Client responsibilities

• Provide accurate project information and materials that you are authorised to share.
• Review all edited files and approve final content before submission.
• Check the target journal, university or institution rules that apply to the work.
• Maintain authorship responsibility for arguments, evidence, data, citations and conclusions.
• Use the services in a lawful and academically responsible manner.

5. Academic integrity

Our services are intended to support legitimate research communication. We may decline requests involving fabricated data, undisclosed ghost authorship, impersonation, plagiarism, deceptive authorship practices or other conduct that appears to breach academic or publication standards. 6. Intellectual property and confidentiality

You retain ownership of the original materials you provide, subject to any third-party rights. Website text, design and branding belong to Journal Article Expert or their respective licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Project confidentiality and file-handling details may be stated in the project-specific agreement.

7. Payments, cancellations and refunds

Prices, deposits, due dates, revision limits, cancellation terms and any refund eligibility will be stated in the written quotation or service agreement. Unless stated otherwise there, payments already earned for work completed are not refundable.

8. Website availability and third-party links

We may update, suspend or remove website features without notice. Links to third-party services, including Gmail, WhatsApp and journals, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the availability, security or content of third-party services.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Journal Article Expert is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on website information, journal decisions, third-party platforms or a client's failure to review final materials. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
